A „Mareva“ aka „Petit Corona“ is part of the standard portfolio of all major Cuban manufacturers. It has also been a tradition at H.Upmann for many decades– since 2002 as a hand-rolled premium cigar with a smoking time of approx. 35 – 50 minutes. A very popular evergreen!
Flavours
The „Royal“ actually has quite a distinguished impression. Fragrant, floral aromas, unobtrusive spiciness and a wonderfully robust tobacco flavour are complemented by a medium strength with fine cedar and R&O aromas to create a very harmonious overall picture. A very typical Habano of the rather mild, but nevertheless full-bodied kind, which also has a nice, solid coffee note in the last third. A perfect companion for every hour of the day and suitable for beginners, not only because of the reasonable price.

Hermann Upmann war ein Bankier aus Deutschland, der kubanische Zigarren so sehr liebte, dass er 1844 nach Havanna umsiedelte, wo er fortan als Bankier und Zigarrenhersteller tätig war. Seine Bank musste kurz nach 1920 geschlossen werden, aber seine Zigarren leben als exzellentes Beispiel für eine Habano von leichtem bis mittelkräftigem Geschmack weiter. Garant für den Erfolg Upmanns war sein Bestreben, ausschließlich erstklassige Qualität zu liefern. Die H.Upmann -Habanos waren bekannt für ihre Verpackung in edlen Kisten aus dem Holz spanischer Zedern zusammen mit einer Garantieerklärung und der Unterschrift Hermann Upmanns – die Produktion fand und findet in Havanna statt.
