Our first own-brand rum - the Double Wood embodies the freshness of Jamaica with the aromas of Nicaragua. It impresses with its mild nature and is gently integrated into the alcohol. Maison Ferrand's innovation team created the new rum creation Canerock in collaboration with Jamaica's two legendary distilleries Long Pond and Clarendon. In the Canerock production process, each ingredient (vanilla beans, coconuts, ginger and spices) is infused individually so that it can develop its full aroma. The individual distillates are then aged for between 3 and 10 years in American oak barrels and a small proportion is then given an additional finish in spent sherry casks. By blending the individual distillates, the blend is intended to fully reflect the tradition and terrior of Jamaica as an exceptional spirit.

Aromas

The bouquet of Canerock Spiced Rum captivates with rich and full-bodied pastry, vanilla, coffee, chocolate and coconut aromas. On the palate, a sweet caramel note is initially perceptible, accompanied by spice and raisin notes. Gradually, pimento and delicate oak tannins join in. The long finish is sweet and spicy in equal measure, reminiscent of poppy seed cake, dark cherries, plums, which are accompanied by fine spicy notes reminiscent of mint, ginger and cloves.

First in bourbon, then in cognac barrels, this approx. 5-year-old value-for-money champ from Belize and Guatemala matures. With some power, it is a wonderfully soft pleasure of remarkable aromatic complexity and with a noticeable character of its own.

Vordergründig ist eine reichhaltige Vanille – Süße gepaart mit Kakao -, Tabak – und spritzigen Orangennoten wahrnehmbar, bei der Zuckerrohr -, Eichenholz – und Kokosnussaromen mitschwingen. The Plantation Special Edition Jamaica 10 Years matures for 8 years in American bourbon barrels and then for another 2 years at Maison Ferrand in France. On the palate, a multi-layered fruity aroma of peach, bananas, plums and walnuts unfolds. After the Atlantic crossing, the rums are decanted into smaller used oak barrels from Ferrand and stored for another year in the cellars of Chateau de Bonbonnet/Cognac. An absolute feel-good drink, whose lovely sweet aroma picks you up before the first sip and takes you on an imaginary holiday trip to the tropics! On the palate, of course, coconut reigns supreme, added to the molasses rum as a natural flavouring agent. Its opulent melange of creaminess and nutty-smooth sweetness carries the drinking pleasure at all times, but also leaves room for the fine notes of the rum to develop. Schon beim Öffnen der Flasche kommen weiche, süßliche und schokoladige Nuancen hervor. Im Geschmack kann man einen Hauch von Tequilla wahrnehmen.
