High quality cigar accessories of the brand S. T. Dupont
The brand S.T. Dupont is a French manufacturer of luxury accessories based in Paris, which is known primarily for its fine lighters. The brand was founded in 1872 by Simon Tissot Dupont, a pioneer with a strong sense of aesthetics. At the age of 25, he already had the visionary idea of creating personalized rice suitcases for the Parisian upper class. In the late 1910s, Simon Tissot Dupont's sons Lucien and Andre took over the factory and in the early 1920s bought a posh townhouse in Paris to meet the ever-growing demand for luxury products from S.T. Dupont.
In the mid-1920s, the brothers decided to move the factory to Faverges, the family's home, where it remains today. The environmental and sustainability philosophy of the S.T. Dupont brand is still influenced by the factory's surroundings today. After a meeting with Louis Cartier in New York, Simon Tissot Dupont ventured to America with his products, which were henceforth sold in a noble boutique on 5th Avenue. In 1941, a maharajah inquired about a solid gold lighter, so the master craftsmen threw their artistic talents together to create the world's first luxury lighter. The manufacturing process of a single S.T. Dupont brand lighter takes up to 5 months. From body to tank, a lighter is made from a solid block of brass and consists of about 70 components. Each individual lighter requires 600 operations and 300 control tests.
Over the decades, the brothers steadily expanded the luxury goods manufacturer's product line. In addition to leather goods, writing instruments, accessories and watches, the brand's range also includes cigar cutters, true to the motto "The passion to create the best luxury products".
