Cookies
In addition to the aforementioned data, we use cookies through our website. Cookies are small text programs that are stored on your computer (in your browser) during your visit on our website. If you afterwards return to our website, the browser used by you sends to our website the information stored in the cookie, which, for instance, makes the navigation easier for you, since the cookie applies presets. Cookies are not viruses and also cannot install any malware on the computer. They are just short texts exchanged between the web server and the browser. Our website uses the following types of cookies:
Transient cookies (session cookies)
These cookies are only stored over the period in which you use your browsers. They store a so-called session ID that allows to associate various calls of your browser with the joint session. This allows your computer to be recognized if you return to the website. Once you close the browser, these cookies are automatically deleted.
Persistent cookies (time-limited cookies)
These cookies differ from the transient cookies only to the extent that they are not automatically deleted when the browser is closed but only after a preset period. However, you may delete these cookies at any time via the settings of your browser.
Basically, you may configure the settings of your browser to the effect that cookies are rejected or are accepted and stored only to a limited extent by your browser. If you use this option, however, this may lead to restrictions with regard to the usability of our website.
Cookies that are necessary for the electronic communication process or the provision of specific functions required by you (e.g. shopping cart function) are stored on the legal basis of Art. 6(1) lit. f of GDPR. We, as the website operator, have a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically flawless and optimized provision of our services. Where other cookies (e.g. cookies for the analysis of your browsing habits) are stored, they are dealt with separately in this Privacy Statement.
Furthermore, flash and HTML5 technologies may be used for some contents. These technologies use files that are stored on your terminal. These files store the necessary data independently of your browser and do not have an automatic expiration date. If you do not wish the application of the flash cookies, you need to install a corresponding add-on, e.g. “Better Privacy” for Mozilla Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/betterprivacy/) or the Adobe-Flash-Killer-Cookie for Google Chrome. You can prevent the use of HTML5 storage objects by switching to the private browsing mode in your browser. We also recommend that you manually delete your cookies and the browser history periodically.

You may also subscribe to a newsletter via our website. This newsletter informs you about promotions and news relating to our company. The subscription process for the newsletter uses the so-called double-opt-in procedure, where you, after you have registered via an email address, are sent a confirmation email to your email address. This confirmation email provides a link to be clicked on to complete the subscription process. If you do not click on this link, the subscription is cancelled, and the data is deleted. After your confirmation, the email address entered by you is stored for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The legal basis for this storage is Art. 6 (1) a) of GDPR.
The IP address used by you at the time of subscription and the subscription date as well as your conformation are stored by us in proof of the proper subscription.
You may at any time revoke your subscription to the newsletter and unsubscribe the newsletter. You may submit to us your revocation by clicking on the email address provided in the newsletter or via a message sent to the contact data named in the imprint.

If you are logged on to Facebook, Facebook can associate your visit with your Facebook account. Please note that an exchange of this information already takes place when you visit our website, irrespective of whether you interact with the Plug-Ins. If you interact with the Plug-Ins, for example by using the “Like” button, the corresponding information is sent by your browser directly to Facebook where it is stored. To learn more about the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights in this respect and setting options for protecting your privacy, please see the Data Protection Notice of Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/policy.php).
