Without doubt the most opulent, creamy and multi-layered Por Larranaga. The fantastic caramel flavor that unites all formats is complemented by a multi-faceted, elegant roasted aroma that is clearly reminiscent of light nuts and whose soft, sweetish notes nestle wonderfully on the palate. In addition, there is a certain, quite pleasant leathery astringency, which no other Cohiba has in exactly this form. It is part of the quality claim of those responsible to really give each individual format a certain something that makes it unique – and this small format is also excellently implemented. You might wonder what an extra-short 50-caliber has to do with the long, thin Churchill. The answer to the riddle: the blend of the classic was the inspiration for the entire series, even if the short ones are significantly lighter. This was introduced in 2012. Burns for 35 - 50 minutes.

The youngest child in the “Churchill” blend series comes across much milder and softer than its “mother”, but is still somewhat more intense and concentrated than the “Wide Churchill”. Quite concise hay/honey/floral sweetness dominates the first third alongside finely spiced wood aromas, before the nutty and roasted flavors typical of RyJ take up more and more space. From the very beginning, this Mareva aka Petit Corona has also belonged to the „Linea 1492“. The classic Vítola is one of the world's most popular cigar formats and was missing from the Cohiba portfolio before 1994. Like the other slim representatives of the series (I, III and V), it is somewhat stronger than the thicker ones. The smoking time is 35 – 50 minutes.
Flavours
The thin ring gauge results in a somewhat more concentrated and tart aroma than that of the voluminous „Siglos“. Here, the focus is on spicy Röst and nutty aromas, of course without missing the fragrant, elegant elegance that unites all Cohibas. Also typical is the creamy smoke. In the second half, hints of mocha and cocoa complement the noble taste. The strength is just above medium. The production quality is, as with all Cohibas, beyond all doubt. In terms of the blend, this gorgeous little Corona could just as well belong to the classic series.

This large Robusto with a special cigar ring is only available from very well-stocked network retailers. It is delivered in cabinet boxes (with sliding lids), which are particularly suitable for maturing. Launched relatively late (2013), it delights friends of gentle tobacco enjoyment for about 75 – 90 minutes.
Flavours
The „Conni A“ is a decidedly light, beginner-friendly cigar. Nevertheless, it offers a rich, full-bodied and varied flavour picture of mild and sweet, but also mildly spicy aromas. Upmann-typical cedar and melting notes, like those of roasted peanuts, gradually overlay the initial honey and white bread without ever suppressing them. The smoke consistency is permanently of a special creaminess, reminiscent of latte, even caramel. It thus offers a thoroughly brand-typical aroma that is also reminiscent of cigars from Quai d’Orsay and Hoyo de Monterrey. This 11cm Panetela has always existed at HU, but it has only been hand-rolled as a longfiller since 2003. The official format designation is identical to the trade name. The mini-smoke may seem a little out of date, but connoisseurs particularly appreciate its elegant blend. 30 – 40 minutes of smoking time.

A seductively sweet Upmann. The narrow ring gauge drips a little – the aromatics are not as concentrated and spicy as one might expect, but carried by plenty of honey, floral scents and a gentle R&R flavour. In fact, it is not a little reminiscent of the brand's „Half Corona“, but in the background it unfolds a very subtle additional cocoa note under all the spicy woodiness and sweetness. At times, one has the pleasantly irritating feeling of smoking a much bigger cigar. The variety and breadth of the flavour palette is impressive.

The „Epicure“series is one of HdM's classics. Previously quite „naked“, these cigars have even proudly worn 2 anillas since 2008. The „No. 1“ in the timelessly beautiful „Corona Gorda“ format, which aficionados hold in very high regard, is probably the strongest „Epi“. It burns for about 70 – 90 minutes.
Flavours
HdM in highly concentrated form! Like many Coronas Gordas, this one is quite an intense treat - not so much in terms of strength (it never exceeds the medium range) but in terms of intensity, being one of the hoyos with the fullest body. The classic brand aromas are easy to taste, but everything seems a little darker and deeper here: mocha rather than latte, more tropical than cedar wood, spice instead of white bread come to mind as associations. Typical of HdM, however, are the clear sweetness and the slightly Cohiba-like hay note.

But anyone who likes the "Coloniales" will also love the roasted notes of fresh bread and the best coffee beans, the scent of exotic woods, the spicy spices that keep wafting across the palate and the rich, increasing earthiness of this medium-strong, surprisingly flavorful Habano. A brilliant blend! Despite being only 3.5“ long, there is a clear progression of flavours. From a blissfully sweet, floral and wonderfully fine-flavoured start with a moderate strength, the flavour goes in a nobler, full-bodied direction from the hint onwards, with pleasantly leathery notes, the cedar and oak scent that accompanies all HU formats, as well as a mocha-like coffee aroma that is reminiscent of HdM on the one hand, and even Cohiba on the other. A real little taste bomb with a wonderfully soft smoke consistency, overall smooth medium strength. A must for every Habanos novice!

This narrow Corona differs in format from a Mareva only by the ring gauge, which is 2 numbers slimmer. Like many other smaller Habanos, it only became a handmade premium cigar in 2002. 35 – 45 minutes of smoking pleasure.
Flavours
The „Mille Fleurs“ or „Shorts“ are probably more suitable as an introduction to the brand; fans, on the other hand, particularly appreciate the „Ari“. A strong cigar with an astonishingly full body, spicy and earthy, with a fine hint of pepper and intense incense notes typical of Partag. There is also a discreet ätheric sweetness and pleasant, black tea-like tannins. The solid, hearty smoke at a real friendship price shows quite a few crass competitor products from Nicaragua with their sometimes exaggerated pepperiness where the hammer is.

Contrary to the name (“the short ones”), these are the longest Quinteros and also the most productive, with a smoking time of approx. 45 – 55 minutes. Other blends were previously sold under the same name; Since 2002 these have been the brand's usual handmade short fillers.
Flavours
The crema-like format steams quite well and also tastes nice and intense; certainly the strongest and spiciest Quinteros. It is dominated by noble, bitter, earthy-toasty notes; it largely lacks the sweet character of the Tubulares, for example. Tannins of dark woods, coffee roasted aromas and malty bread crust come to the aficionado's mind when smoking.

Aromen
Die typische milde SC-Gewürzaromatik ist hier eher im Hintergrund vorhanden; im Mittelpunkt steht bei dieser Kleinzigarre, die mit ihrer mittleren Stärke ein wenig kräftiger als ihre größeren Schwestern ist, eine Fülle eleganter würziger Holzaromen mit Akzent auf der Zeder, ergänzt von cremigen Milchkaffee-Röstaromen und – vor allem in der zweiten Hälfte -einem Hauch Kakao. Die Süße des pikanten Vergnügens ist hingegen dezent. Sein Geschmacksbild und Format machen den „Fürsten“ zum idealen noblen Begleiter von Kaffee und auch Tee.

Of course, an exciting development in the course of the smoke can only be expected to a limited extent from a four-two. The advantages of the Divinos are of a different nature: only a few Habanos offer such a concentrated, pithy, unadulterated tobacco flavour. Hearty, yet by no means aggressive Röst notes, expressive wood and resin aromas along with distinctive, leathery spiciness characterise the taste picture; the sweeter Cuaba facets are only hinted at. Connoisseurs appreciate the small format for its intensity and straightforwardness.

Flavours
The unexpectedly charming smoke is largely characterised by floral and tart flavour facets. In this respect, it is closer to the favourites than most other Corona-like formats and is also sweeter than these (honey). The strength is also relatively moderate, the thinner Quinteros are all a little stronger. Perhaps the best cigar as an introduction to the brand, good-natured and pleasant until the last puff. Towards the end, the typical character emerges more clearly with more earthy, roasted notes.
