Buy cigars by Cuaba
The special highlight of the brand Cuaba is its shape, known as double figurado. Especially towards the end of the 19th century, this form was very popular with Habanos. Reason enough to continue this beautiful tradition a good century later. In a prominent place, namely the manufactory Romeo y Julieta, where the Cuabas are manufactured. And even more: with the production of the double figurados, the torcedores show their greatest skill. Double figurados are the pinnacle of the art of cigar making. For this reason alone, they deserve a place in the collection of every cigar lover. In the beginning, there were only four comparatively small formats of the Cuaba brand, three of which are still produced today. In 2003, two much larger formats were added, which nowadays belong to the standard assortment: the Distinguidos and the Salomones.
Worth knowing
Like the huge Salomones, the second-largest format of the young brand (launched in 1996) was added to the regular portfolio in 2003, after the two flagships were presented in a limited special humidor. The stately format is called „Romeo“; Cuaba also produces it in the RyJ factory. The very productive cigar can be smoked for 90 – 120 min.

Flavours
The double figurado starts off seductively honeyed, with betting floral and fruity aromas alongside subtle cedary spice. In terms of taste, it is close to brands like Cohiba and Trinidad, but sometimes also reminds one of Punch or RyJ. In the varied course of smoke of the medium-strong Habano, nutty Röstaromena are added as well as a hint of cocoa and spice. A very complex smoke that combines pronounced umami character and typical Cuban features with a wealth of fragrant, floral, „summery“ facets. For more than a few connoisseurs, this is Cuaba's best blend.
Worth knowing
The small „Göttlichen“ with the flowery format name „Petit Bouquet“ have been part of the range from the beginning. They are the strongest cigars of the otherwise rather medium-bodied brand. A powerful and spicy pleasure for a time window of about 35 – 45 minutes.
Flavours
Of course, an exciting development in the course of the smoke can only be expected to a limited extent from a four-two. The advantages of the Divinos are of a different nature: only a few Habanos offer such a concentrated, pithy, unadulterated tobacco flavour. Hearty, yet by no means aggressive Röst notes, expressive wood and resin aromas along with distinctive, leathery spiciness characterise the taste picture; the sweeter Cuaba facets are only hinted at. Connoisseurs appreciate the small format for its intensity and straightforwardness.
Wissenswertes
Worth knowing
The giant figurado went like the Distinguidos, after the first launch in an LCDH-exclusive humidor in 2003 in series. With a smoke duration of at least 2 hours at medium strength, she is aimed at patient and attentive connoisseurs, who she rewards royally. The circulation of the beautiful boxes of ten is always manageable – access is worthwhile!
Flavours
The formula “the bigger, the sweeter, milder and fruitier” applies to Cuaba only up to the distinguishing mark; the flagship is similar to this in terms of the lovely floweriness and the enchanting honey taste, but it also has dark and tart facets such as cocoa or coffee beans to offer. It is a cigar that is both charming and flavorful at the same time, with which H.Upmann-Similar wood theory penetrates. Towards the end it becomes stronger and more intense. A fascinating, multi-faceted large caliber that cannot be recommended enough.
Worth knowing
The second smallest Cuaba in “Favoritos” prepares approx. 40 - 50 minutes of fun. It is the milder and lighter alternative to the hearty, strong Divinos. The aromas typical of the brand unfold surprisingly well over a short distance.
Flavours
This cigar wonderfully fuses the flavor worlds of the brand. It has the robust, leathery look of the Divinos, but is less intense and just as sweet as the large formats. The sweetness of honey is more in the foreground than fruity-floral tones, although the small format has a rather lovely character. It just tastes wonderfully like ripe Cuban tobacco. Pleasant leathery astringency and noble wood notes complete the captivating taste. A particularly balanced Habano that lovers of RyJ, H.Upmann or Punch will appeal.
