Worth knowing
Brand new on the market is this delightful cigar, a slightly enlarged Robusto with the curious format name „Bohemios“. Connoisseurs of the multi-award-winning brand were expecting a real banger – and the excellent new release with 65 – 80 minutes of smoking time really disappoints no one!
Flavours
While some cigars of the brand officially classified as „light to medium“ are rather rich in aroma and strength, the „Conni 2“ is actually a relatively light and mild cigar. Nevertheless, it offers everything that the experienced connoisseur expects from an Upmann: the unmistakable fine, spicy wood aromas, the creamy, spicy umami flavour as of roasted nuts, the charming honey and the more intense, wonderfully Cuban tobacco flavour in the last third, in which the body of the Habano becomes noticeably fuller. Nevertheless, it remains wonderfully beginner-friendly.

Hermann Upmann war ein Bankier aus Deutschland, der kubanische Zigarren so sehr liebte, dass er 1844 nach Havanna umsiedelte, wo er fortan als Bankier und Zigarrenhersteller tätig war. Seine Bank musste kurz nach 1920 geschlossen werden, aber seine Zigarren leben als exzellentes Beispiel für eine Habano von leichtem bis mittelkräftigem Geschmack weiter. Garant für den Erfolg Upmanns war sein Bestreben, ausschließlich erstklassige Qualität zu liefern. Die H.Upmann -Habanos waren bekannt für ihre Verpackung in edlen Kisten aus dem Holz spanischer Zedern zusammen mit einer Garantieerklärung und der Unterschrift Hermann Upmanns – die Produktion fand und findet in Havanna statt.
