The grandmother of the Magnum series can still bite powerfully today. I mean, the traditional vítola in the beautiful format “Corona Gorda” offers approx. 65 - 80 minutes of pure indulgence for fans of pure, intense tobacco enjoyment. HU for advanced users, so to speak.
Flavours
Like the RyJ “Churchills” and „Cazadores” or many cigars from small Cuban brands, you can tell that the blend dates back to the last century. However, this is anything but a flaw, because such Habanos still offer the unique full-bodied, nutty-woody-leathery, earthy-spicy and at the same time subtly sweet taste of the best tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo in its pure form, surrounded by sparkling hay notes and a great creaminess on the palate. The brand's “mild to moderate” should not be taken at its word here, because the “M 46” always has the power of a Cohiba or Montecristo.

Hermann Upmann war ein Bankier aus Deutschland, der kubanische Zigarren so sehr liebte, dass er 1844 nach Havanna umsiedelte, wo er fortan als Bankier und Zigarrenhersteller tätig war. Seine Bank musste kurz nach 1920 geschlossen werden, aber seine Zigarren leben als exzellentes Beispiel für eine Habano von leichtem bis mittelkräftigem Geschmack weiter. Garant für den Erfolg Upmanns war sein Bestreben, ausschließlich erstklassige Qualität zu liefern. Die H.Upmann -Habanos waren bekannt für ihre Verpackung in edlen Kisten aus dem Holz spanischer Zedern zusammen mit einer Garantieerklärung und der Unterschrift Hermann Upmanns – die Produktion fand und findet in Havanna statt.
