Der mondäne Ruf der Marke Montecristo eilt ihr in der ganzen Welt voraus. Keine Marke ist bekannter und keine ist so sehr Synonym für eine Premium-Habano. Sie ist die Referenz für alle anderen Habanos. Qualität, Geschmack und Aroma sind herausragend und sehr intensiv. Allein der klangvolle Name weckt bei jedem Aficionado Erinnerungen an die Kindheit und die erste Begegnung mit dem Roman Der Graf von Montecristo von Alexandre Dumas. Die Namensgleichheit ist kein Zufall, sondern der Tatsache geschuldet, dass der Roman eine der Lieblingslektüren der Vorleser für die torcedores in der Manufaktur H.Upmann war, wo sie ursprünglich handgefertigt wurde. Auf der Suche nach einem gebührenden Namen für die Spitzen-Habanos war man sich also schnell einig. Seit ihrer Taufe in den 1930er Jahren ist die Montecristo eine Instanz, an der keine andere Habano vorbeikommt. Zumindest für die Liebhaber mittelkräftiger Mischungen. Heutzutage umfasst die Auswahl, die ursprünglich auf ein von No.1 bis 5 bezeichnetes Sortiment beschänkt war, alles was das Herz des Zigarrenrauchers begehrt – von der majestätischen Montecristo A bis zur kleinen Joyita. Ihnen allen ist der typische Montecristo-Geschmack gemeinsam.

Forged from a single piece of high-quality surgical stainless steel. The razor-sharp blades of the scissors and their curved cutting surface are particularly suitable for large-format cigars. The Donatus scissors have a steel hardness of 56 Rockwell. The ceramic coating gives these scissors a hardness that exceeds the Rockwell scale (maximum 68 Rockwell). The extreme hardness of the scissors therefore guarantees a long service life with constant blade sharpness. The ergonomic multi-finger system gives these scissors particularly comfortable handling, as well as safe cutting and a consistently precise cutting pattern.

The Montecristo brand is one of the young cigar brands from Cuba. For aficionados of this young Cuban cigar brand, there are of course also suitable solutions. The Cuban marketing organisation Habanos S.A. develops new and limited leather case editions at regular intervals. Over the years, the various models have been developed, most of them in cocnag brown and black. All cases are made from genuine leather.

The Montecristo 6 cigar case safely preserves all the flavours of the cigars. The black upper part of the case, which can be easily removed from the black lower part, features the 24-carat gold-plated logo. The emblem with the six crossed swords around the lily in the centre of the triangle adorns the square case like a brooch. You can store 6 cigars with a length of up to 15 cm and a diameter of up to 1.5 cm in the collapsed case - when pulled out, even cigars with a length of up to 20 cm can fit in it.
The term Boveda comes from the Spanish and translates into German as vaulted cellar. It is a user-friendly humidity control product that has been specially developed for use in cigar cases, countertop and travel humidors. Each Humipak consists of a saturated salt and water solution protected by a permeable membrane. The Boveda Humipaks offer the user the advantage that he no longer has to remember to refill the humidor's water reservoir every day, as he simply replaces the corresponding number of Boveda Humipaks every 1 - 3 months. These are designed to release treated moisture into the humidor, thereby reducing the risk of bacteria, mould or fungi forming in the humidor. They also have the advantage over conventional humidification systems that they minimise fluctuations in the humidity balance of the humidor, allowing the cigars to mature perfectly. The constant humidity level preserves the natural oils and sugar components of the cigars, giving them the opportunity to mature optimally.
