Currently, the trend seems to be a bit slow, but about 5 years ago, short, thick „Short Smokes“ were literally on everyone's lips. H.Upmann also took the zeitgeist into account and launched this great, beginner-friendly Gordito with 50 – 75 minutes of smoking time in 2016 as the youngest child of the Magnum family so far.
Flavours
If the 46 represents the crisp and the 50 the complex side of the Magnum blend, the 54 stands for creaminess, mildness and sweetness. A dreamlike smoke consistency, gentle cedar wood spiciness, finest almond and cereal taste, honey on the palate and the aroma of latte present a rather light, beginner-friendly smoke with imposing smoke volume and extremely uncomplicated burning. Nevertheless, a development in the course of the smoke towards more body and darker notes is quite perceptible. Occasionally, there are also clearly stronger specimens.

H. Upmann
Hermann Upmann war ein Bankier aus Deutschland, der kubanische Zigarren so sehr liebte, dass er 1844 nach Havanna umsiedelte, wo er fortan als Bankier und Zigarrenhersteller tätig war. Seine Bank musste kurz nach 1920 geschlossen werden, aber seine Zigarren leben als exzellentes Beispiel für eine Habano von leichtem bis mittelkräftigem Geschmack weiter. Garant für den Erfolg Upmanns war sein Bestreben, ausschließlich erstklassige Qualität zu liefern. Die H.Upmann -Habanos waren bekannt für ihre Verpackung in edlen Kisten aus dem Holz spanischer Zedern zusammen mit einer Garantieerklärung und der Unterschrift Hermann Upmanns – die Produktion fand und findet in Havanna statt.
