Cohiba is the top brand among Habanos. She was created in 1966 quite personally for the Máximo Líder Fidel Castro. Its place of origin was a big secret for a long time, because no one was supposed to know where it came from. Basically, Cohiba was for a long time the unofficial house brand of the state leadership and practically impossible to get hold of outside this circle. With one major exception: as a gift, which was reserved only for high-ranking state guests.
