Quai D'Orsay, Coronas Claro, No. 50, No. 54

Cigars by Quai D'Orsay

Quai d'Orsay is a fairly young brand in the Habanos range. In 1973, it was introduced by Cubatabaco exclusively for the French market. The inspiration for this came from SEITA, the former French tobacco monopoly. The name of the brand refers to the famous street on the banks of the Seine in Paris, where the company was based at the time. For more than 40 years, the brand was an almost unknown gem in Habanos' portfolio. It was not until the global launch of two new formats that cigar lovers around the world would discover and enjoy this special brand with French charm and sophistication. It is also characterized by a fine taste, character and intensity of the best Cuban tobaccos. For the brand Quai d'Orsay began in 2017 a promising new era. This happened with the relaunch in a completely new design and the inclusion of two new formats distributed internationally in the main markets of Habanos S.A.. They were presented for the first time at the XIX Festival del Habano: the QUAI D'ORSAY NO.50 (production name "D No.5"), with a length of 110 mm and a ring gauge of 50, typical of Robusto, and the QUAI D'ORSAY NO.54 (production name "Edmundo Grueso"), a completely new format, with a length of 135 mm and a massive ring gauge of 54. Both are offered in unvarnished wooden boxes containing 10 and 25 pieces. The third vitola of the brand, in the classic Corona format, has existed since the birth of the brand: the QUAI D'ORSAY CORONAS CLARO (production name "Coronas"), with an average ring gauge of 42 and a length of 142 mm. The cigars are totalmente a mano, tripa larga - completely handmade longfiller.
