When the leaves of three different tobaccos are processed using the Black Cavendish method - that is, they are flavoured, heated and pressed several times - the result can only be a flavour bomb! Virginia provides a pleasant honey and a creamy smoky texture, Burley for fine nutty notes, Oriental tobacco for spicy, exotic spiciness. A very harmonious combination – the carefully used, yet distinctive topping does not give a clear direction, but rather convinces with a colourful, multi-layered mixture of fruity and fragrant-floral facets. Im Jahre 1986 fasste Dr. Horst Wiethüchter, ehemaliger Vorsitzender von Reemtsma einen kühnen Entschluss. Er übernahm die Bru-Bru-Werke AG in der Schweiz und wollte diese historische und traditionsreiche Pfeifen- und Stockfabrik in eine Manufaktur für erstklassige Bruyére-Pfeifen verwandeln. Dieses Unterfangen kann aber ohne einen ausgezeichneten Pfeifenmacher nicht gelingen. So kam es zur Zusammenarbeit mit dem dänischen Pfeifenspezialisten Hans Jonny Nielsen und die Produktion in der Schweiz konnte beginnen. Heute sitzt die Bentley Pipe Company in Deutschland in Lauenburg an der Elbe, ein anderer Teil der Produktion kehrte mit Hans Nielsen in sein Heimatland Dänemark zurück. Das Sortiment von Bentley Pfeifentabak umfasst sowohl klassisch englischen als auch dänischen Rauchgenuss und steht für eine niveauvolle Rauchkultur only for men.
